Arrival & Check-In
At Kodō Hotel, we combine personalized service with seamless self-check-in and room access technology to enhance your stay.
Smart Technology
- Self-check-in is completed through your smartphone and your room key is securely stored in your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- By booking, you consent to receive SMS updates related to your stay. Text “HELP” for support or “STOP” to opt out.
- In-room landline phones are not provided; please use your personal device for all communication.
- In case of emergency, dial 911 and notify our team at (213) 263-6310.
Guest Experience & Self Check-In
- Room key is delivered digitally on the day of arrival upon completion of online check-in.
- Check-in kiosks are available on-site and can print a physical keycard upon request.
- 24/7 guest experience support is available, both in-person and at (213) 263-6310.
Check-In & Check-Out Times
- Check-In: 4:00 PM
- Check-Out: 11:00 AM
Early Check-In & Late Check-Out
- Early check-in from 1:00 PM: $60 fee
- Late check-out until 2:00 PM: $60 fee
- Purchase through your check-in link or by texting Guest Experience at (213) 263-6310.
Self Check-In / Check-Out
- Secure online check-in link is sent 48 hours before arrival.
- Government-issued ID with credit card and $250 security deposit is required.
- Room access is granted via QR code sent to your phone.
- Same-day bookings after 4 PM require immediate online check-in.
- To check out, scan the QR code on your door or text (213) 263-6310 with “Checking Out.”
Parking
- On-site parking available for $50 per night.
- Reserve through your check-in link or under “Add-Ons.”
- Located behind the hotel—enter alley before 7th Street; signage is posted.
Room & Guest Policies
Age Policy
- Guests must be at least 21 years old to reserve and check in.
Room Occupancy
- Superior King Plus (Rooms 2, 7): up to 3 guests
- All other rooms: up to 2 guests
- Children under 12 stay free within occupancy limits
- Violation of occupancy limits may result in additional charges or cancellation.
Pet Policy & Service Animals
- Only ADA-recognized service animals are permitted.
- Animals must not be left unattended and must be leashed outside the room.
- Damage caused is subject to the $250 deposit.
Food Delivery
- Guests may use delivery services
- Drivers must be met in the lobby (not permitted on guest floors)
Package Deliveries
- Must be addressed to reservation holder and delivered during stay dates
- Unclaimed packages post-checkout will be returned to sender
- Hotel not responsible for lost or mishandled packages
Financial Policies
Payment & Cancellation
- 24-Hour Free Cancellation:
Available for reservations made at least 72 hours in advance.
- Flexible Rate (Refundable):
First night charged at booking; remainder 24 hours before check-in. Cancel/change up to 24 hours before check-in. Cancellations after this time result in forfeiture of full payment.
- Direct Booking Offer (Non-Refundable – 15% Off):
First night charged at booking, balance after 24 hours. No changes/refunds
- Last-Minute Bookings:
Non-refundable if booked within 48 hrs of check-in.
- No-Shows:
At 11 AM the day after arrival, reservations that are No-Shows without prior communication are canceled without refund.
- Cancellation Requests:
Must be submitted in writing via email (info@kodohotel.com) or text to (213) 263-6310
Taxes & Fees
- A 14% California Occupancy Tax is applied to all room rates.
Security Deposit
- $250 hold collected at online check-in.
- Released post-checkout (1–3 business days)
- Forfeiture may result from:
- Noise complaints
- Smoking violations
- Exceeding occupancy
- Property/linen damage
- Missing items
- Unauthorized filming
- Other hotel policy violations

- Cafe: 9 AM to 5 PM Daily
- Restaurant & Bar: 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM Wednesday – Sunday
Property Rules & Conduct
Smoking Policy
- No smoking in rooms or common areas.
- Any violations result in a $250 fee + deposit forfeiture.
Photography
- Professional/commercial photography requires prior written approval.
- Unauthorized photography is prohibited.
Guest Responsibility
- Guests are financially responsible for damages or violations.
- Lost or stolen items due to guest negligence are not the hotel’s responsibility.
- Respect for fellow guests and hotel staff is required at all times.
- By staying at kodō, guests agree to all hotel rules and policies.
