We also collect identity verification information when required for your reservation. We utilize Persona to process government-issued IDs and verify identity via facial recognition. Biometric identifiers generated during this process are used solely for verification and are deleted immediately upon completion.

To maintain security, resolve potential disputes and comply with various regulations, we retain copies of your identification documents (e.g., ID and selfie) for a period of 6 months after your checkout date. After this retention period, all identification data is permanently deleted from our records and Persona’s servers.

Use of Artificial Intelligence
We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help operate our messaging and booking services. For example, to understand your requests, answer questions, and assist with reservations.

We do not use your personal information to train AI models. When you interact with our AI-assisted services, your information is used only to respond to your request and provide the service you asked for. It is not used to train, retrain, or improve any AI model, whether ours or a third party’s. We work with an established AI service provider to deliver these features. Our provider only receives the content of your message needed to generate a response — it does not have access to your informational records, reservation history, or payment information. It processes your information solely to perform this service on our behalf, under contractual terms that prohibit using your data to train its models or for any other purpose.

Like many website operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). This log data may include information on your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics. In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics to collect, monitor, and analyze the log data. 

We may use your personal information to contact you with kodō hotel materials. However, no mobile/SMS information will be shared with or sold to third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
