kodō hotel provides full self check-in and contactless service.

24-hour Virtual Front Desk assistance available via text or phone a (213) 262-9640‬. 

Online pre-check-in requires government ID and matching credit card.

Room access via QR code sent to your smartphone at check-in time.

Same-day reservations after 4 PM require immediate online check-in completion.

 


SMART TECHNOLOGY POLICY 
At kodō hotel we embrace the convenience and efficiency of smart technology to provide our guests with a more efficient, personalized, and connected experience.

kodō hotel utilizes smart technology for guest convenience.

No landline telephones in rooms; guests should use their smart devices for communication.

Digital check-in and room access are available via our website, with a digital key sent to your device.

For assistance or emergencies, scan the room’s QR code or use your device to dial 911 or local emergency numbers.

Check-In: 4:00 PM

Early Check-In: Available at 1:00 PM for a $60 fee

Check-Out: 11:00 AM

Late Check-Out: Available until 2:00 PM for a $60 fee

A check-in link will be sent via email and text 48 hours prior to arrival.

 

Requirements:

  • Photo of government-issued ID
  • A selfie photo
  • $250 security deposit

  • You’ll receive room number
  • QR and PIN code digital key
  • Arrival details

 

SELF CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE

Scan the QR Code located on your room door or text (213) 262-9640‬ and enter your room number and “Checking Out”.


AGE & ROOM OCCUPANCY POLICY

Guests must be 21+ years of age to book a room.

All rooms are designed to accommodate up to 2 adult guests.
We do not provide cots or additional beds.

 

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

REFUNDABLE: Card charged for the first night deposit at booking with balance charged 48 hours before check-in. Cancel up to 48 hours before check-in for a deposit refund. Post-deadline cancellations forfeit the first night; the rest is refunded. Date changes possible up to 48 hours prior, subject to availability.

NON-REFUNDABLE: Card charged for the first night at booking, non-refundable. Full balance charged at 48 hours before check-in, non-refundable. Date changes possible up to 48 hours prior, subject to availability.

LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS: Full payment charged for bookings within 48 hours of check-in, non-refundable.

TAXES & FEES: Reservations incur a daily $50 amenity fee and 14% California Occupancy Tax.

    Premium bottled water upon arrival 
  • Morning beverages & pastries, daily  
  • Housekeeping room refresh, daily 
  • High-speed WiFi 
  • Luxury linens and organic bath amenities 

 

SECURITY DEPOSIT 

$250 security deposit hold during online check-in, released upon check-out and satisfactory room inspection.

Deductions may apply for:

  • Noise complaints impacting other guests
  • Any room damages or property defacement
  • Smoking within the room or any non-designated area
  • Damage or excessive cleaning required due to pets
  • Exceeding the stated room occupancy limits
  • Conduct deemed disrespectful or disruptive to staff or guests
  • Items damaged or missing from the room inventory
  • Unauthorized commercial filming or photography
  • Violations of house rules or policies

 

PARKING

Fee Per Day: $50

Purchase via the check-in link

Parking is assigned by room number

Unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing

Hotel parking is behind the building; from the front entrance, turn right down the alley just past the entrance and before 7th Street.

Parking entrance is through the second gate on the right hand side. kodō hotel signs are posted.

Park in the spot labeled with your room number.

Proceed to the front entrance to access the hotel.

If arriving via Uber or Lyft, use the front entrance at 710 S Santa Fe Avenue.

 

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping room refresh is offered daily until 4 PM.

Place the Do Not Disturb sign on your door to decline housekeeping.

PET POLICY

Only ADA service animals are accepted.

 

PACKAGE HANDLING

Address packages to the reservation holder and specified room number within reservation dates.

For pickup, consider delivery to a local carrier center like FedEx, UPS, or Amazon.

kodō hotel is not responsible for handling of packages.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

Any professional videography or photography requires prior approval from hotel management.

Filming without consent is a violation of hotel policies.

SMOKING

Not permitted in rooms or common areas
A $250 cleaning fee applies if smoking occurs in rooms or non-designated areas.

 

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY

While accidents happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
